How do I change my name?

If your account was created by connecting to Facebook, please use this article to learn how to change your name.

If you created your VarageSale account using any other method (Google, Apple, or email), here are the steps to change your name if you have not yet been approved for a community. If you have already been approved, please reach out to our helpdesk for assistance with a name change.

On iOS or Android apps:

1. Log in to your VarageSale account and tap on "Me" (the face icon) in the bottom right corner and then "Settings", or tap "Change Location / Settings"
2. Tap "My Name"
3. Edit name to include your real first and last name and then tap "Save" 
4. Be sure to reply to the admin message you received to let them know your name change is complete

On Desktop Website:

1. Log in to your VarageSale account and access your "Preferences" by clicking on the name/profile picture area in the top right corner
2. On the profile page, edit your name to include your real first and last name
3. Click on "Update About Me" to save changes
4. Be sure to reply to the admin message you received to let them know your name change is complete
