VarageSale messaging to members

On occasion, VarageSale sends communication to members via a few different ways.  Private messages from our office will arrive in your VarageSale private message conversation inbox.  Emails may be sent to the email address registered to your VarageSale account.  And mobile members may receive push notifications to their mobile devices.  We do this in a few circumstances, for example, when we have announcements to make. Private messages from VarageSale may come from an employee or from our company account named "VarageSale Team".

There are several kinds of announcements that might warrant sending a private message. For example, when a VarageSale community launches we will often private message nearby members to let them know. This is done to encourage those members to join the new community if they visit often or live nearby; in our experience this can have a big impact on the overall health and success of a community that’s just launching.

We might also message regarding updates for mobile apps, new features, or marketing purposes.

If you receive a private message or other communication that appears suspicious, please report it to the Help Desk at help@varagesale.com.
