Why am I not getting Push notifications on the iOS app?
Make sure your Push Notifications are turned on.
If they already are, please follow these steps:
- Open the "Settings" app on your device
- Tap "Notifications"
- Scroll down until you find "Varagesale" and select it
- Make sure:
- Allow Notifications is set to ON

At least one Alert type is selected:
- Lock Screen: Notifications will appear on your lock screen when your device is not in use
- Notification Centre: Notifications will appear when you open your notification centre (swipe down from the top of the screen when the device is unlocked)
- Banners: Notifications will appear at the top of the screen when you're using your device
- Badges are turned ON
- You may want to choose "persistent" Banner Style. This means you will need to interact with the banner notification (tapping on it or swiping it away) before it will disappear. Temporary banners will disappear after a few seconds, and you may miss the notification if you happen to be looking away from your screen at the time.
If your settings were already correct, or you're still not receiving push notifications, here are some additional tips:
- Try restarting your device
- Swipe down from the top right to open Control Centre and ensure Focus (Do Not Disturb, Sleep) is turned off
- Go to Settings > Battery and turn off Low Power Mode
- Go to Settings > Notifications > Scheduled Summary and turn it off to make sure you receive notifications as soon as they come in
- If you use multiple devices for VarageSale, this may interfere with your notifications. If you use a computer to log into VarageSale, please ensure you have closed the browser window when you're finished. Otherwise, notifications may be showing up in the browser, and the system would not generate them as push notifications to your mobile device.
- Uninstalling the VarageSale app and reinstalling it may help resolve the issue. You will not lose any of your information by doing this. After reinstalling the app, please follow the above steps again to ensure all settings are turned on and correct.
